The call for a deeper understanding of emotion.
"Light blue touchpaper
And retire immediately."
That's the way we're taught
To handle fireworks.
And that's because they're dangerous,
And we could burn ourselves;
So it makes good sense
To exercise caution.
But when it's a volatile
Human spirit we meet,
The same rule doesn't hold -
Because they're not fireworks.
Although we might think they are
At the time of ignition,
And our reasons for retiring
Make sense for protection.
But there are good reasons
That their heart's on their sleeve:
Because it's closer to hand;
And that's where God placed it.
To view their response as fireworks,
And better run take cover,
We're forgetting that we too
Are made from the same spark.
"Light blue touch paper
And move toward the flame"
Would be a more valuable
Response to vulnerability;
For in the sharp light of
A volatile display,
If you look, you wont fail
To catch sight of your forgotten shadow.

Without light there will be no colors , no shadows ! Light is like that final salvation where all shadows converge ! Thanks for sharing , -Raj
