Some insight into clarity, and the need for self-examination. Also the pointless waste of time and effort chewing over fat.

The Mount in the Deep Blue by Steve Slimm

What I Have Written

When the Jews said to Pilate,
Governor of Judea,
"Don't write 'King of the Jews',
Write that he said he was",
What did they fear?
What did they fear?

"What I've written, I have written",
Came the confident reply,
Neither fearing repercussion,
Nor lack of popularity,
He made himself clear,
Made himself clear.

When you say to your companion,
Someone you hold dear,
"You oughtn't to have said that,
You ought to have said this."
What do you fear?
What do you fear?

"What's been said's been said."
Holds the keys of the kingdom,
Without the fear of losing love,
(As though another could dethrone),
Make yourself clear,
Perfectly clear.
