Haley, aka

Fertile.

The seeded womb of a verse has no conscience.

Hence it believes as it ventures,
with intent, to arouse a poet whatever the hour,
who by day or night it needs
to devour
and it signs that it means to be heard.

Impregnation is whispered
~ ~ by word.
It dictates the write and then begins urging.

Birth can be easy or very hard
~ ~ labour.
Muse inspiration is merely a promise to make
writers more able.

But once used the poetic mind fares no worse.

The unseen fecundates
and stays fertile by inspiring more verses.

Once the seed rises to mind...it stays and words have to be exposed and put to paper. I can identify strongly with this poem. Thank you Fay for this, you really are a wonderful poet.
