The moon was full
the earth was still
we lay together
on top of the hill
she said her name
was in the air
and that she came
from nowhere
she said
nobody looks
at the moon anymore
they burst the bubble
and fall to the floor
no one talks to the man
in the moon no more
they walked all over his smile
with the footfprints of a child
She's like an angel
with barbed wire wings
she's like a honey bee
but she can sting
she longs for love
she yearns to please
and when she whispers
it's like a breeze
Sometimes I swear
she reads my mind
but to her thoughts
I'm deaf, dumb and blind
sometimes she cries
as if she knows
the weight of grief
in all my sorrows
I sit beneath
the willow tree
she slowly walks
away from me
she leaves the taste
of love behind
and her fingerprints
upon my mind
Unfold your mystery girl
for me
Romantic and mysterious poem.
