Meet You At Main and Everywhere

A Boulevard of broken dreams
is not the end of the street

Press the pedal to the floor,
race ahead, top down
with only your third eye open
dont focus on the rear view

The only cliff on the main drag
is the reaper, dont fear him
Most never see him coming

Surrender and whatever is fleeing will suddenly stand still. I saw your curls rattling in the wind. The roar of the engine was extreme. Amazed, I gasped to see you wink with one eye. At the end of the road was an "S" curve sign. I heard the syrinx playing, the sirens singing, and the soft flutter of wings. And there you were in silk offering me wine. What could I say: "wonder of wonders, the snake is swallowing its tail. A poet friend//RH Peat
