~ to comfort a friend ~

Tired Spirit

Heartbeat fluttering so fast
out of breath
wings desperate not to fail
flight seems endless
weight threatens your journey
and you are terrified
of the wind.

Blowing fiercely
its strength intensifying
as you feel your own
weakening.

Hurry, precious one
you can make it
if you take refuge
out of the storm
to where it’s warm and dry
your safe place
is all you need...

To make a full
recovery
and again
face the world,
the unknown,
on wings of faith
hope and love.

How a verse can comfort and provide strength, when written this way...
