Cognitive Fruits
Just by opening the windows
the fresh air is allowed to rush in
from the orchard of thoughtfulness.
And what was dreamed beyond
becomes real to the touch.
A spark from a seed brings
a tree to fruition that’s to be revisited.
The abundance is regained time
and again as each turned page.
Every word grows on the next
like foliage in the wind’s breath;
the reflective assessment whispers
inside the contemplative season.
Taste's journey is secreted into
tomorrow’s harvested crop.
This mixture migrates from earth—
into deep root, to trunk, to limb, to twig—
into blossomed voice to be repeated
and a plum or a peach is born
at the nub of every pronounced stem.

I have decided to assign my own cognition to weave in and amonst the limbs and savor it for the distinctive taste I come away with. One thing I find interesting is that we two write in completely different styles and fashions but we tend to understand and appreciate the results of our individual efforts. Your friend in words, Pete
