Perception Trumps Reality

What do you like about me?
Wait, dont answer that.
You see, you most
certainly will be wrong.
I made my mind up on that years ago.
True or false, your opinion has been
superceded made obselete
by what I think
you think of me

Its perception that I hear
Hes my constant companion
whispering in my ear
telling me what to feel, think
how to trust, love even the most dear
In his hands the the keys to my city walls
the ax to knock them down
or the bricks to build it
higher thicker inpenetrable
In my heart he wears the crown

Ha ha... I like it just fine. No need to tell me where I stand, It’s already been decided by referendum, and my single vote made it unanimous : D

It seems you're not happy that perception rules. If so Sandra - I agree. We will never really hear one another whilst this imposter stands in front of reality. Thank you for this perception.

Much food for thought in this perceptive piece Sandra - - glad I caught this write -your stamp of artistic honesty shines through the lines and shows perception is something we all can reply on. Great verse.
