This in the form invented by Dr. Charles A. Stone. He dubbed them Trimerics: a four stanza poem in which the first stanza has four lines and the last three stanzas have three lines each, with the first line of each repeating the respective line of the first stanza. The sequence of lines, then, is abcd, b – -, c – -, d – -.

Trimeric 1 -- In an Orchard of Peach Trees

I rest in an orchard of peach trees
with a snowstorm of petals pelting me:
I am awash in their tender touch
and sweet perfume.

With a snowstorm of petals pelting me,
my skin comes alive
responding to these kisses.

I am awash in their tender touch:
Each moist flower lands
like soft spring rain

and sweet perfume
swathes me in its warm embrace
like sunlight.

An intricate form given the Lillian touch... a sensual, sensory delight that offers the reader a linguistic, heavenly vision. Simply gorgeous. :)

This style of poem can so often come out rather artificial and forced-sounding, but not here! The poem rises above the form in the most beautiful way.
