The Beach

Golden sun
soothing and warm
waves gently caressing
sand soft as silk
birds floating on the breeze
salty sea air fresh and crisp

Casting his net
into the air
a fisherman stands
in the cool ocean bay
off in the distance
barotos weave in the surf

Children are running
barefoot on the shore
their laughter and song
brings a smile to my face
carefree and happy
they play their day through
never understanding
the life that they have

Peace and serenity
is what I find here
losing myself
in this moment of time
the soul is healed
and the mind at ease
there is no other place
quite like this
that inspires me so
to feel this way

Excellent job! A poem that not only describes a seaside eden, but takes you to it.
