On My Way to You

On my way to you,
I found a shoe,
A lonely soul without a mate,
Tongue hanging out,
And half a lace,
And a wrinkled look
On her holy face.

Great metaphor. Nice one Don. Does she like the poem? :-) If you use a comma you don't need the "and" Might want to cut one or the other. I like the sound of the second one in the line. A poet friend, RH Peat
