Life Purpose by Steve Slimm

Playing with Patience.

Like sand
..............once the tide has ebbed,
Smoothed out again,
....................................and ready
For being gently re-claimed
By he who must
...................... remain nameless,
She now bides her time,
.............................with a prayer
For patience.

Her heart is aware,
............................like fine lawn,
Such velvet green
.............................newly mown
Grass glows with dew,
......................shows moistness
Only when fresh
.........................and each dawn
Needs patience.

So she lies,
..................savouring morning
And remembers
........................the night before,
And what more
................................of paradise
Passion will bring
..........................from it's store,
With patience.

The eloquence of your words make this an exceptional poem, Fay, one that not only is a pleasure to read, but also one with some excellent advice for those with hasty hearts! Carl.
