Once again the same mood of 1983
when our country held the World Cup
in their starving hands
since years 28.
A moment so lively and vivacious
when the tears flowed down of happiness
and of glee
to watch their team succeed.
Prayers of the billions
just to bring the cup home
and chant the hymns same
“Make India proud of its name.”
Firecrackers all around
expressing the victory so loud
when all Indians unite as one
make our team feel so proud.
