''It is almost universally felt that when we call a country democratic we are praising it; consequently, the defenders of every kind of regime claim that it is a democracy, and fear that they might have to stop using the word if it were tied down to any one meaning''

George Orwell

Tragedy

I can't describe my future
More than you can with your past
Somethings are simply broken
And we can never have them back
So speak your heart and mind as freely
As the birds when you catch them fly
And build yourself a conscious deeply

This town bears no citizenship
The people have abandoned its icons
Give me a state of communication
Not just the internet or a mobile phone
And let me savor all the happiness
That you claim with your opened eyes
I swear i'll rot here in my loneliness

I still haven't found what i'm looking for
I've still got mountains to climb and
Oceans to conquer

I still haven't found what i'm looking for
So will you open up your arms
And save a place for me?

I drank away the water
That you've spilled on my hands
I guess it's the only thing I own now
Since you claimed the oil in our lands
I can't believe you're merely selling
These bottles of babies to our foes
It's our youth you killed for nothing
