Horoscopes

She soars like a bird
In the midnight sky, carrying signs
Of Inventible failure, the one you'd
Read about in tomorrow's paper

She's free but her wings
Somehow keep getting broken
So soon, she would not be able
To fly past the dark

That's what happens to people
When they start losing faith in
Themselves

That's what happens to people
Who make light out of everything
But their horoscopes

She soars like a bird
With the eastern wind, saluting friends
That abandoned her, the ones you'd
See around their truck-trailers

She breathes in the air,
Though it only makes her choke
So soon, she would not be able
To get through it all
