When I am sound with you
the flight of insect wings
is as a symphony
on weary weathered brow
When all is well with us
your smile is as the sun
diffused through thickest boughs
to match my joyful stride
Your strength is as the beech
an avenue's embrace
a warmth through autumn cool
my heart with love endow
Cacophony of leaves
your fullness favours me
to soothe and stroke my cheek
my tears may soon be dried
Oh may I linger long
be fed with all that's you
and ponder sayings true
with purity's sweet vow
I know not how I strayed
for now I'm nourished fond
as sweet as infant's breath
is walking by your side

As this no longer registers, I have chosen another which is also lovely, and is by Ms Judi, as seen above
It's well written - and it feels like your earlier work, when you were still struggling to find your own voice. Your poem about the lily and "Peace" are among your best and most mature. But this is definitely still good.
