Often moved by color. It speaks and affects and lives and breathes.

Colorful Spring!

I am Happy Yellow see me
moving, giving, glowing,
singing, bringing with me
Vibrant Green, so bold, boisterous and
bright but competing with
Rowdy Red,
so riotous, sassy, sensuous, sultry red,
alluring and dragging Demurring Pink
in tow, pretty, prissy, petal-soft,
blushing sweetly, among
the Proud Purples,
glorious, stately, imposing,
and eclipsing the Pristine Whites,
so virginal, refined, snowy
and showing off next to Dowdy Brown,
who’s shabby, dingy, moldy
but so boldly bringing with it
Beautiful Blue
to brighten, lighten, heighten and
ecstatically imbue
the entire scene with
cosmic hue!
A colorful, brilliant, jocund, noisy, busy Scene
Is Spring!

A nice piece of apparently free verse, but with the added benefits of alliteration, end-rhyme, internal rhyme and half-rhyme (snowy/showing, moldy/boldly, dowdy/brown). A lovely tribute to the season.

A riot of a poem and the vocabulary is sensational. I love all the alliteration and feel joyful and ecstatic myself and keep going back to read it over and over. Bookmarked!
