HANDS

HANDS

Whatever happened to him?
He would go out on a limb
His friends used to come around
Now his life is a ghost town

The world had hands
They've disappeared
Maybe they're in
The world's old tears

We're supposed to have boundaries
To avoid empty quandaries
But we're idly building walls
We wouldn't hear if love called

The world had hands
They've disappeared
Maybe they're in
The world's tears

If only oxygen
Had all the vitamins
I needed to survive
I'd never leave this room
I wouldn't want to swoon
Like an eclipse of a life

The world had hands
They've disappeared
Maybe they're in
The world's old tears

Sometimes we see life as cold, lonely and detached and we're trapped in lonliness as this poem seems to say. We feel bad we can't find a helping hand or kindness. This is what i found that helped me. Be that hand or kindness for someone else and don't have any expectations about it. I think the world will open up a litte in a way that surprises. Hope you don't mind me saying. Anyway....nice poem! Life can feel crushing at times.
