Missing You

Puffs of white cotton
Hang in the pale blue
As I stare out my window
And think of you

Remembering times
In the not so distant past
Wondering now
Why we did not last

Birds sing sweet songs
As my heart sinks inside
Do you still think of me?
Is there someone at your side?

Pain is a constant
I've grown to accept
Your love and devotion
I no longer collect

One day real soon
The sun will shine again
And remove all the clouds
The thunder and the rain

The sun will surely shine again for you, keeps the hopes burning.

I now believe relationships have expiration dates. Just got to turn them over and check the arse. Mine says 6 years. I love your poem. Real good men should commiserate for a while and then get back on the horse and be a knight again.
