Fire and Clay by pattimast

Fire and Clay

Lady Angel, hear my plea:
Harken now your ear, to me
Take this soul, of fire and clay
And this endless stream of days;
Make a string of pearls, for he
Who with his smile, has captured me.

Lady Angel, were no crime;
That his smile, my hopes define;
The world is wanton, cruel and brief
And I'll have many days of grief-
My breath's my only gift to give;
My only prayer that he shall live.

Lady Angel; human hearts
Are delicate, when kept apart;
And human dreams do not depend
On facts; as how, or why, or when;
A miracle's reborn, each day
In Love's fierce oven: fire and clay.

Sounds like a prayer for long distance lovers. Very nice.
