I wrote this after speaking with a close friend that is suffering through cancer and it's treatments. I know unless I experience it, that I can not fathom what it is like, but I do know that I admire the inner strength one must have

Her Strength I Cannot Fathom

Oh sweet and appreciated sympathy
Are you so blind you can not see?
When enough is enough of all that's done
Do you and fate jest in some wicked fun?

She carries a burden of hefty weight
Invisible tarry affects her gait
On the ultimate parole of life or death
Never knowing how soon is her last breath

Did you intend to chase the butterflies away?
Take the brilliant sun from her promised day?
Oh just how wicked can you and fate be
Give lesser promises of her destiny

I would have thought she'd shown her strength's worth
When she became a Mother and gave birth
But seems you demand much more than this
Is there something we don't see, something amiss?

I pray you both will reassess your plights
And back pay all those days and nights
When strength was all she had to hold on to
And unnatural thoughts because of what you do

Oh sweet and appreciated sympathy
Are you so blind you can not see?
When enough is enough of all that's done
Do you and fate jest in some wicked fun?

Sweet words are like a honeycomb, soothing to the soul and healing to the bones. SEND IT TO HER! SHE NEEDS YOU. (that first bit was Bible, dont tell God I quote him, he thinks I forgot)

does seem like a game of juggling...on a tight rope of a thread.....over the grand canyon......scary all the while
