Rainbow Cake by SmittenSugar

Cake, Frosting Not Included

I'm a seven layer cake
no icing, frosting, or fondant
No two layers are alike
tasty all the same
layered with sweet filling
but on the outside plain

Eat me in the daylight
or with the lamplight off
you will feel as full as cake
frosted with sweet fluff
If you eat me
through and through,
you wont leave hungry
Frosting is not
the part that makes
you want seconds,
lick the bowl clean,
camp out by the oven

If you dont want to bite
theres nothing I can do
but if you give plain cake
a taste, I cannot be
responsible for what
happens to you!

7 layers with sweet filling is more than a real bargain. Now is that lemon cake or pink cake. I prefer a bit of lemon myself. :-) A wonderful cake poem if I ever read one. A poet friend//RH Peat

never mind the icing on the outside....the icing on the inside is more yummy esp. if you're a layered cake which I'm sure you are..... :)
