A Reluctant Butterfly

Oftentimes I wonder
when I contemplate my sins
and all I must repent of
Why did I let you in?
Worming your way
too close to me now
your voice inside my head
your soul under my skin
I've always hated to be in love
as helpless as an insect
I struggle beneath your curious eyes
impaled upon a pin

Those roller coaster, out of control emotions captured perfectly. I especially like the simile; 'as helpless as an insect... impaled upon a pin' - a master stroke in poetry. :)
