Give Me Your Love

Give me your love and set me free
From loneliness's grip
Take your soft lips and kiss me
Upon my love parched lips
I think of you so often
You invade my dreams at night
My mind enjoys thoughts of you
Now assist me in my plight
I hear the heartfelt melody
That fills the air with song
To hear that melody sang to me
For that is what I long
Sing sweet words of love to me
I'll cherish it everyday
I'm going to make you love me
I have got to find a way
I just hope you will heed my plea
Give me your love and set me free

Wow! What a beautifully crafted love poem, Pendemic! Love for someone so special very tenderly penned. A very lyrical write which flows through your poetic pen from your very warm heart. I hope Cupid's dart does not go astray and miss it's target! I pray it is right on course, as it is aimed at that very special heart, whom your heart loves. A very moving poem so sweetly expressed. I have enjoyed reading very much. Thank you for sharing. Blessings always...

Ah, but this is so eloquently expressed, amply conveying that irresistible love she cannot be but flint if she denies the plea. How superbly you convey love, poignantly and sweet. I love it!

I will sing you sweet melody/but when I do you will not be set free/for in love is a certain bondage/one when we long for/when we suffer sweet amnesia// Cherish everyday the dream of me and my ways/ Gladly forget me the way I was/long for love as love is remembered/not as love does//In the end to head your plea/ would remind you you were unhappy A CYNICAL POETIC REPLY sorry had to BUT I LOVE ALL YOUR POEMS

This is in dire straights, cupids bow is pulled and is leveled to release the dart of love to inflict his target with overwhelming giddiness. And he's painted a bull's eye over his heart. Zooming dart or not, he's dune for; by his own plea to be set free. A poet friend//RH Peat
