Heavenly garden by micspics444

The Poet

The path was very thorny
His bare feet bore the signs
Deep red welts on his ankles
And damaged heels, yet he
Did not give up easily, he just
Continued his very tedious journey
Armed with deep faith & his poetry
He managed to carry on smilingly

He always encouraged his friends
Giving them timely advice and help
Not many knew how much he suffered
Or how many hospital visits he made
Then one morning the Lord called
"Paddy, I need you soon in heaven
To pep up the sagging spirits here
You can read poetry in my garden"

Wow, this one grabs one's attention and emotions as the description, in modification, fits oneself. Well received. Your friend in words, Pete
