Serpents' Tongue

Regret
embraces you
like a child
safely kept
in her mothers' arms
as
the tears fills
your open well
anger grows cold
destructive
while
insanity clothes
the mind
welcoming
the desire
to kill
your body language
is up for sale
many buy
then
you are left
naked
no more excuses
no more lies
to tell
promises
will be
no more
as you take
your last look
before
the shut door.

This is a very expressive poem, Giselle, and though a bit melancholy, your writing talent shines in this fine write! Carl.
