The Silencer

The silencer on your words
Kept me from hearing the report

The blood spatter on your face
Prevented me from seeing your crimes

The lies on your tongue pushed down
The plunger, and executed me without trial

Brings to mind the old adage, about keeping
Friends close; and enemies closer

But sometimes it's hard to tell where one leaves off
And the other begins

The metaphor of "Silencer" is wonderfully poetized leaving no room for any misconception. Beautiful poem.

Your words spare no room for misunderstanding, the truth you speak is up front and personal. The style is unique. Another great write from you.

This is wonderful, good use of an extended metaphor. it is simply elegant truth which the best poetry is.
