A silly poem

WRITER'S BLOCK

Writers block
Poppycock
Early morning
Doodle do

Writers block
Shepherds flock
Peek a boo
Baa baa

Writers block
Knock knock
Bell rope
Sorry tail

Writers block
Tick a tock
Croc a dile
Captain Hook

Writer's block
Shell shock
Turtle soup
Mocca mock

Writers block
Mister Spock
Vulcan light
Night night

What do you do when you get writer's block? Why, write a poem about it, of course! Brilliant.

I just love this - it has shades the the late, great Spike Milligan about it and it's made me grin. Writers' Block/Poppy-cock, indeed! ;)

A fun write about a blocked situation we can all relate to. Love the rhythm and the magic it creates. I can imagine an old-fashioned English teacher giving it to her class to recite over and over. After all, they knew how to use sound to reiterate what they taught! I love it!

This is fantastic. I loved "croc a dile" and "bell rope/ sorry tail" Priceless The rhythm is just gorgeous as it snaps along. The sound of this poem holds laughter within the words as you read them aloud. Remarkable is all I have to say. One of most musical poems I've read in some time. Love it. A poet friend// RH Peat
