Hidrellez is a spring festival in Turkey. It probably has pagan/Shaman roots. This is in a rough tanka format: 5-7-5-7-7

Come spring we'd scribble
Wishes on napkins and hang
Them from tree branches
Or sometimes just tie a rag
And leave it to flap, silent
