Had to write this for a GSA group thing.

Different.

How did the Nazis know which person needed the pink triangle?
How did the world know who to discriminate against?
How did the people gain the right to criticize people?
Who said?
How did they know?
Why is everything always questioned?
Why can't I just be white without someone making an ignorant remark?
Why can't I just be female without someone making sexist comments?
Why can't I just be gay without someone laughing or calling me names?
Why can't this be like how it was in grade school?
Where no one gave a damn about what race you were, what gender you were, or what your sexual preference happened to be.
Take a huge leap back to where you were blind to everything except friendship.
Why would you break a promise to someone just because they don't fit your schedule?
Why would you say that you'll listen to someone when you just interrupt?
Why would you call someone a name behind their back then pretend to be the most loyal friend any other time?
Why would you tell someone that you won't be their friend anymore just because they were gay, lesbian or anything else?
Just think about how long it took them to conjure up all that courage just tell you (one measly person) that they weren't like everyone else, that they were different.
Put yourself in their shoes, how would you feel if you were that person?
Imagine trying to be them, with all their differences and name-calling and no one to talk to.
How would you feel?
