For You

I had a dream
I was in school
in seventh grade
reading your biograph
the days begin to fade
in shades of green
now like an epitaph

Alone in my room
with an artist inside of me
You died way too soon
but I still can feel you
warm in a circle of friends
where have you all been ?
memories never die
they drift away
and are reborn again

Like a song lost at sea
it floats away
but with the tide
it will return one day
Fasten it down
so the waves
don't wash it all away
and pass it around
like good wine on a holliday

'cause there's alot to go around
for you
