There's Beauty in Your Suffering

"Sorrow is nature's greatest reminder."

The unfeathered fledgling
laying cold and forgotten,
grounded on it's bed of pine needles.
Far from the nest above,
where mother knew
this one would die.
It would not eat
and so,
flung it to it's death
so her others would benefit sooner
by it's absence.

"Suffering is no longer a punishment
but rather a guardian of truth,
a lesson to be learned."

Without the lessons
of suffering in the valleys,
our mountains peaks
are mere foothills.

"Misery deepens your threshold for bliss."

With every suffering
is a chance for compassion.
For every dark valley
a light house can be constructed.
For every hurt
a chance to heal.

There's beauty in your suffering.

So true . . . though so hard to remember when we are miserable and suffering, so easy to forget when we are happy and joyful. It is one of the paradoxes of life that one exists only because of the other, the opposite. You don't usually provide epigraphs that reveal your inspiration . . . you were obviously very affected by these quotes and have written a memorable poem.

A positive message for all of us, who sometime in our lives will feel the sting of quandary's chaos and the fear that solutions to these problems are inexistent....And an erudite lesson for they who suffer now, that there were always answers there...but without Faith & positive thinking sometimes solutions pass on by....un-noticed by the sufferer who is entranced in their quandary. JoAnn. i likje this, yes i do...!...FjR...
