Everything speaks;
do you hear it when the mind is quiet?
The roof tops calling,
slanted, tiled, slate, grey, red.
Do you hear the windows calling
look through, look through,
beyond the walls of you;
and the birds high in the sky,
they say feathers, lightness, freedom.
Do you hear the clouds calling
dark thoughts, frivolous shapes,
dancing, melting, falling;
And behind all that,
beyond the sky,
do hear it?
The aaaaaaah shining
in all forms;
the oooooooo knowing
in mind.
The mmmmmm unseen,
so, so blissful;
and when they melt into one
do you hear yourself saying
that sound,
where there is no one
to hear?
A magnificent literary creation on such a simple theme. The title couldn't have been more perfect. The best sound to listen to is that of silence!!! And you have so wonderfully brought out the essence of this. The best lines I like are: "Do you hear the windows calling look through, look through, beyond the walls of you;" Kudos to you on this exemplary work!
