One of life's lessons...

If At First

A kaleidoscope of dreams
Were scattered on the yellow brick road...
I rushed in to capture them,
Arms out stretched.

In my haste, I stumbled on life's
Diamond speckled promises...
"Get Up!" life yelled,
"Get Up and try again!"

Oh yes! This is outstanding. We can't necessarily count on others to pick us up. Often times we just have to light our own light and push the gloom away ourselves.

This presents a lot of possible responses. I will just quote Henry David Thoreau. "We are constantly invited to be who we are."

"Stay down" the scarecrow yelled: "they're still shooting bullets. Keep down, keep down, don't get up. Do what the lion is doing, he's smart. look at the tin man he looks like a sieve. Put a teabag in his mouth and you could make tea." A poet friend// RH Peat
