To achieve. To breathe.
To fly.
Off the handle.
These verbs wearing sandals
and beat-boxing in microphones.
One two THREE
and one TWO three.
Sometimes there are no verbs:
Expectations. Revelations. Desolations.
Sometimes there are only verbs:
To laugh.
To smile.
To borrow.

“Either shut up or be more eloquent.
Royally fuck it up or else fall silent.”

...I am tense with tenses.
I am past tense.
I am taking down fences
and marveling at the view.
The world is new.
I roll down the window and close my eyes:
The sky has never been so blue.

Yesterday I died.
Today I have never been so alive.

Watch me turn into a sunset.
Just there, the most perfect parking space-
under the rainbow, empty pot of gold,
the best place for it is hidden under the bed.

Someone will be disappointed.
I will be laughing.
My smile grows wider and wider;
There is no room in this ocean for you.
