Another look at nature through the eyes of an admirer.

The Music Of The Rain

Puffs of light gray
Loom in the air above
Heavy with their burdens
Unable no more
To support their load
Release comes as refreshing
As their release is to the earth
Release comes gradual
drop by drop
The water falls
Through darkened skies
Each drop
Beating a tune
Upon the earth
The beat of each drop
The rhythm of nature
The slight breeze accompanies
Causing flowers and grass
To dance to the beat
Emitting aromas appealing
To the nose
As well as the mind
The music of the rain
Enchanting all who hear it
Through sight, sound and smell
Each beat part of an incantation
To draw the listener
And render them helpless
Trance like they give attention
To the music of the rain.

nature is a powerful magenet that draws oneself towards it and therein a beauty unfolds that more magical than the magic can ever be ...this poem is soft and imginitive , capturing the mood of the rain and an admiring mind at the same time.

A weather song indeed, well written, love the flirtations with a symphony, very apt. (Once saw a tropical storm, very different to what we have in England.) The kind of thing I enjoy writing myself: nice one.

what a great picture you paint as always is the case. I love all of these ingrediants, specially the sound and smell as I look out my window writing. Thanks for sharing.

I can appreciate this, not just the rain but each and every drop. Our home had a tile roof and I still remember being in bed and listening to the rain drops dripping down on the tile just outside the window. Very soothing.

I love the lines of this piece, a wonderful creation and in deep thoughts. I know there's music of the rain when it's not torrential.

This is a very expressive and well written poem, Pendemic, one I enjoyed reading from beginning to end. It almost sounds like the rain we've been having lately along the East coast. The rhythm in this fine write almost captures the sound of music. Carl.
