"This was the noblest Roman of them all" -Julius Caesar-{Act 5}

TO BRUTUS

Not that I loved Caesar less, but that I loved
Rome more.....
O..Brutus,Brutus
That was thy reason
To justify thy treason
Your flames of anger
Infilitrated into your soul
As waves of river Tiber
Step by step
Bit by bit
It clasped your ego
As a python......
Thou became a diabolical
Serpent to your lord
But,
Behaved as a harmless dove
Infront of him
Mighty Caesar,kept his
Faith on you
Fostered thee as his son
But,you repaid your debt
By blood and flesh
His death became
Your yearning to
prove thy Patrician nobility.....
Cajoled by
The contraption of Cassius
Thou came forward as
A saviour of republic
As your ancestor
Junius Brutus,who banished
Tarquinas from seven hills..
Stabbed great caesar,
In the day of Ides............!
But,what thou achived..?
Anarchy,vapidity and misery
At last
Vanished from history
As a traitor............!

But Punsara, Pusnara - I did not because I loved Caesar less, but for that I loved Rome more! Et tu Punsara! A good poem, Punsara. Love this poem that shows your inquiring mind.
