For the cat lovers, like me, two cat poems

Two For One and Playtime

Play Time

The other world of
my concentration
is interrupted by a soft
mew and a well-placed
and much beloved
rubber band dropped
daintily at my feet.

Kitty begs me to throw it
for her to fetch, and
reminds me, she is still here

-----------------------------------------------
Two For One

As if of one mind
in two bodies
sometimes they
move, fairly slither
across a room in tandem.

So much alike;
how can you tell one
from the other
I am asked

Differences are there
See the subtlety of movement,
and how they hold their feline heads
One regal, the other precocious

At first, I liked Playtime the best, but after a few reads, there is nothing to choose between them, Playtime just hits first while Two for One slinks into the mind more slowly. Good writing, nicely penned, I enjoyed them, very feline and very astute observation.
