let's not forget that we were once in love,
for they say that love, it never dies,
but attitudes got in our way,
and clouded up our sunny skies.
let's not forget that once we shared our kiss,
and embraced each other with smiles,
but you wanted your way and I did too,
and it affected both our styles.
let's not forget that once you were my queen,
and I suppose that I was once your king,
but you wanted things I never cared for,
and you sang songs I 'd never sing.
but, let's not forget that once were a team,
and we would laugh and cry together,
but you went your way and I went mine,
and we ran into different kinds of weather.
let's not forget that once we were in love,
but forget the line, that love, it will not die,
for the end of love is ever present in the wind,
and I remember all the cause and reasons why.
I don't think love ever dies.....it is ever present in the wind....and I love this poem.....and enjoyed the read..... nice.....
