Heartfelt

You gave it willingly I know,
so warm and full
and dipped in frosted snow.
I have found a way inside
with melting warm embraces
and by just softly listening
when you cry.
It is most beautiful
all that which I find there,
and as I explore the secrets
that are held in store,
slowly I discover more and more
and more.

There is one place I cannot go
hidden in its center,
at its very core.
It seems to have no way
to enter in,
it has no space
where I could perhaps begin.
What a fool I am
I hear you say,
that place I cannot find,
I am already there
and is not found by seeking it
that way.

this poem speaks to me of the complexities in our relationships, and our need to connect to one another in real ways. I love "and by just softly listening when you cry" - what a lovely sentiment! Very nicely written, I enjoyed this.
