Bamboo and Cranes

part of where it is, carefree and growing
the bamboo, silent and patient
tough in nature and yet supple in the wind;
the bamboo is there…in its own
silence and life;
and the cranes, mindful of their life
the clarity in the moment, the radiance in the air
coming as they have done,
a life now and quiet
and in one’s needs and presence
