Midnight oil

It just occured to me
these wise men you hear of ( if you're lucky)
are not just anyone
they're locksmiths of the heart
they've unpicked all the hurt
resentment, anger , shame
and all the other bothersome boils
of so called human nature
and tossed it to the four winds,
all these I's and me's
carefully observed
and admitted ( to themselves)
surrendered to the greater good
and what's left
is your own pure nature
truth , consciousness and bliss
and there behind it all
is your own Self, God, Lord,
Witness of all,
strange we don't believe them
and say no, I'm Mr. Angry or
I'm Miss. Resentful
you can bugger off
I've read about you fakes from the East
I believe in who I am , and I don't need your advice
just leave me to my own misery
while I make others suffer also
It's my right,
goodnight.

Many people prefer to keep their grievances... you can't even buy them...
