Waves

Rolling in with singular intent
gaining strength
in height and poise,
elemental forces
beauty bound
crashing, pounding
lifting pebbles
in rapturous roar
as though in applause
of your homecoming,
translucent face
stretched to mighty yawns
in arcs of lucid greens
tipped in
phosphorescent cream,
sinking back into your source
to rise again
and play the morning
symphony of surf.
