I really do not talk like this to my white male-quail
- I just concocted this for fun - - - honest ! !

White Bobwhite Quail Male by krissybird

More Quail Talk.

Oh Andy boy,
what has happened to your fine and dandy
coat ?
Are you moulting still ?

I see a feathered layer all around your white
and tattered head
and more are floating to the ground.

Now Andy dear, what is this moping for ?
Do you not find wives attractive any more ?
Are they boring you ?

Come to me and let me soothe your recent
failing malehood.
And may your quaily-brain realize that this
unwise cut of shabby gear
will not appear
again this year, if you are good.

Never fear, you will be calling soon much
clearer for a mate.

And what is more, my brave and cocky male,
I will buy some female stock
come spring,
for I have read that quails come randy-made,
for Andys such as you.

So you must just sit tight and wait,
a quail as white as you should not be blue,
you will feel quite right again
and then attract
a hen or two, or probably a few,
you crafty shaggy rascal
Randy-Andy.
