Eat at… Drink by…

‘Eat at pleasure.
Drink by measure.’
It’s old-fashioned to repeat:
These wise words aren’t always fit.
Your obesity is near,
But you don’t wanna hear
Any warnings when you see
Lots of chocolate ice-cream
Under cherry jam and nuts.
‘Eat at pleasure’ is like ‘start’
‘Pleasure’ sounds in your head.
What will happen? It’s more fat
On you belly, buttocks, hips.
Well… the 1st line of these tips
Sounds rather stupid here.
It’s connected with some fear:
‘Eat at pleasure’ means ‘to buy
Clothes of enormous size’.
‘Drink by measure’… It depends…
In your place I would amend.
I don’t want you to discuss
What you think. It isn’t fast.
Yes, your measure and your weight
Are connected. Anyway
Let’s forget drinks that are strong…
What a face! Oh, please! Come on!
I just wonder what you’ll drink
If there’s no lake to sink,
You’ve been running very long,
And it’s hot. What will you want?
It’ll be water. No doubt,
Nothing else you’ll dream about.
You’ll enjoy it. What great pleasure!
Will you think of any measure?
No?!! But you aren’t a dolt.
If the water is too cold,
It’ll be bad, you’ll get a cold.
Don’t be stupidly too bold.
Even if you drink one glass,
Do it slowly, not fast!
Yes! I’d say, “Do it by measure,
And you’ll get a lot of pleasure”.
