Simple

And as the light fades
the shades drawn and shadows
drown the sleepy town
trading colours for the grays
It's time for sharing all
the secrets and the hints
of kisses kissed by innocents
And life is simply sweet
again when love is
unencumbered
by the fury and the fiery
frets of youth
Let your hair fall down
now woman
of a certain perfect age
The sages knew that true
and simple love belongs
to those who've lived and loved
for long enough to know
themselves

This poem is full of beauty, grace and wisdom. The closing lines are superb and I've adopted them as my mantra. :)
