This poem is for my brother Elkie and his soon to be wife Melissa...
I wish you all the best that life could offer, may the good Lord bless you with so much love and happiness... Respect and adore each other everyday until forever comes...

Wedding 231 bw rings by kelthornton

Promises of Forever

Anxiously the bachelor dreams
Of a lifelong commitment
From the insidious bachelorette,
He proposed marriage tenderly
Could I count on you ~
To forsake all others said she,
He vows to do so forever,
If she were to love, honor
And be the best bride ever.
They agree thus bonding
In holy matrimony
Husband and wife
Were then introduced --Mr. and Mrs.
After which family, guests
And wedding party joined
Too, celebrate the start of
their forever promise
Many blessings

It's not always an easy thing to embrace commitment...One can sense the challenge of maintaining their 'forever promise.' May they be successful.

"insidious" may be a Freudian Slip but either way it sounde very foreboding.
