Unhappiness

Sky, cold steel blue, dark grey clouds,
part sunny day, holds no happy smiles.
Unseen warming sun, and joyful faces;
for sadness rules this discontented soul.
Body slouched, bent with grief, tears fall.
A longing heart feels sad, despair is set;
blind to hope, unsighted, love is screened;
still lifeless in that moment now deceased.

Yet sorrow stays only, till love returns;
having the love for life itself is bliss.
Life’s changes happen all the time, so
to stay in fashion, faithfully pursue and
chase each of life’s moments faithfully.
For happiness is love of life, that’s Now!

'sorrow stays only till love returns...' Wise words for us all

Your poem lyrically shares the glass half full/empty paradox. Depression dogs those who suffer the emptiness of lovelessness - and yet, as you point out so clearly, love does not require an object in order to express itself. The love is surely in YOU! Another arresting spiritual tale. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

"Life’s changes happen all the time" - Absolutely True. Change is what keeps life moving.

A touching write- there is so much sorrow - many can make changes albeit hard but in many more hope has died.Epiphanies are often dramatic because they have to be, to break the mould we are trapped in, to shatter the house of mirrors we think is meant to be there- pursue and change before its too late is good advice Bob
