Contoured, contained and secreted in white,
colour glides imperceptively,
then mutates.
It fluctuates sways and flickers, underlit,
unseen until viewed, screened
until split.
Dancing with filtered hues, dye materializes,
clarifies shimmering rainbows,
spices with glamour to brighten monotone sight.
Powerhoused with red, curried in carmine
rose rises alongside verdant green,
ripened with aquamarine, gold then sets
yellow agleam.
Lavender superimposes itself on tangerine,
coppery ginger tinges an indigo blue,
plum meets azure,
and rosy spectrum becomes rainbowed.
As transluscent streaks of stain cut through,
thin edges of pastel vibrate,
ensuring again light will engage more
fine-shaded mystery.
Some see auras of resplendent colour
everywhere,
but before we can see what is the meaning
of this psychic invasion
let us let colour enter us
and really see it on every occasion
Tasting this blessing will only create the need
by transformation
for a far more colourful life.
Sensational and amazing use of color throughout this glorious poem Fay. The vibration of this poem sparks of the page and we are so blessed to have color in this world to drool about just like I am now...
