not letting go - tanka suite

memories rising
from the coffin of my soul
petrify my heart…
embracing my numb tombstone
i search for oblivion…

unshed heavy tears
hold within them your being,
hiding in my dark…
loneliness may taste better
when sipped slowly, day by day…

and after a while
even stings’ touch becomes sweet -
honey-like venom,
painful reflections of you
engraved all over my thoughts…
